Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Great little chateau for a family gathering, or pied-a-terre for visiting the region. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, very cozy, modern appliances, there was even a laundry machine in the master bedroom upstairs. Mini kitchen with the essentials (coffee, utensils, pots and pans) but not much else. Must do your own shopping before you go if you want your breakfast, but the hosts can provide a breakfast if requested in advance (assortment of pastries / gateau normand, yogurt, bread and jams). Cook your own eggs though.
Negative: It’s a lovely place, but a bit far from everything, in particular the nearest shopping is far (several townships away) and almost everything closes around 7pm on Sat and is closed on Sun. So be prepared if you mean to stay and huddle at the property.
Summary: Great pied-a-terre for a weekend in Normandy.
